Starlene brings 20 years of experience in defending Workers’ Compensation
claims. Starlene will also be handling work out of our Sarasota office.
Starlene was born in Tampa, Florida. Starlene attended Florida State University
and received her Bachelor of Science in Social Work (B.S.W) in 1986 and
her Master of Science in Social Work (M.S.W.) in 1987. After working as
a social worker for six years, Starlene returned to law school in 1993
at Loyola School of
Law in New Orleans and obtained her law degree in 1996.
Starlene was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1996. The focus of her law
career has been representing self-insured employers and insurance carriers
in workers' compensation matters, but she has also represented insured’s
and their carriers in general liability matters. She is a certified instructor
in Workers' Compensation for the Department of Financial Services
and has lectured at seminars on various topics in workers' compensation
law, including adjuster ethics.
Starlene is admitted to practice in all courts in the State of Florida.
She is admitted to practice in the Middle District of Florida. She is
a member of the Florida Bar.
Starlene is happily married and has two children.
